Here’s what the cake looked like after I painted the food coloring on:

I used 4 different shades of blue.

Next I made a nice assortment of colors, and added some blue to the green and purple so they would match the cake better:

And here she is before the finishing touches. I looked at photos of other ocean cakes, and pictures of coral reefs for inspiration.

Done!
